Actions for the Week – Happy Not My President’s Day!

Happy Monday, Indivisibles, and Happy Not My President’s Day!

We are preparing for Town Hall and there is a great deal of information for you this week.

Thank you for all that you do!

Town Hall Rally

Tuesday 2/21 we will be rallying at the Federal Building in downtown Seattle to ask that Senators Murray and Cantwell meet with us for a town hall.  After the rally, we will be given access to senior staff members to express our concerns.  Please find details here.   Currently, our Senators will not be hosting a town hall. We are hosting one ourselves, and our Senators have committed to sending us senior staff members to represent them.  We are not settling for this compromise and we will be demanding access to our elected officials at our Rally on Tuesday.

Our town hall is tentatively planned for Saturday the 25th. We are coordinating with other Indivisible groups and scrambling for a venue large enough to accommodate us. Details, including town hall questions and etiquette will be forthcoming as soon as we have them.

Hear Our Voices Rally in Issaquah!

Feb 23rd: Hear our Voices in Issaquah: Rally at Reichart’s office

Rep. Dave Reichert will be in Washington for the congressional recess during the week of February 20, but he has not scheduled town halls or other public events. Washingtonians’ voices must be heard!

On Thurs 2/23, labor, faith, and community groups including Planned Parenthood Votes NW and Hawaii, will petition and rally from 11am to 1pm to voice their concerns about repeal of the Affordable Care Act, efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, and a “Muslim ban” that has sown chaos in the airports and torn families apart. As elected representatives, it is their duty to hear their constituents’ concerns. Join us and invite your friends!
